Zen's Revenge Wars Links Page

The Revenge Wars started with a silly little fic written by Scott Jamison called 'Sauce'... and ballooned from there. The premise was simple - What if the Ranma characters grew tired of all the fic writers' attempts to solve all their problems? What would happen if they decided to return the favour? In Scott's case, Ranma and Akane show up at his favourite Cyber Cafe in an attempt to straighten out his love life. After all, what's Sauce for the Goose...

Within a week, *dozens* of Revenge Fics had flooded the FFML. The game covered the whole range - from silly to serious - from chilling (Richard Lawson's contribution comes to mind) to blatant wish-fulfillment. (Zen's own, like Scott's, would probably be closer to the latter.) All in all, it was great, good natured fun.

But it didn't stop there. Instead, a number of writers decided to use it as a base for one of the biggest, most blatant Self Insertion collaborations since the days of 'Twisted Path' or 'Undocumented Features'. And, having been made an offer that he simply could not refuse, Zen joined in the fun. And it has been fun. Zen's contributions are available here, as well as links to other archives of Revenge Wars related material.

The little snippet that started Zen on the path to fanfic ruin, and *ghasp*, self insertion. Since Team Ranma was busy with so many other, better known authors, they hired some help. A couple of Trouble Consultants named Kei, and Yuri.

Written as a sort of a closer to the whole revenge issue, a slice of life type look at what it's like to be a trainee with the 3WA. Of course, as it turns out, it was far from the end.

Zen and the Dir... er... Lovely Angels join in the Revenge Wars. The first of a two story set that describes how the Angels and their new sidekick come to FRED to join the forces of good in a titanic struggle against the forces of evil.

Not truly a part of the Revenge Wars continuity, but not really outside of it either. Written for the first anniversary of the original Revenge Fics as a refutation to Richard Lawson's assertion that Revenge Fics were almost all wish fulfillment rather than true revenges. Offers a darker look at the nature of wishes.

Part two of the story of how Zen and the Angels come to FRED, and join the FRED Defence Force. And so the saga begins.

Unable to find other things to do before their unit becomes operational, Zen and the Angels make a quick trip to pick up another author wanting to join the resistance. But the pickup point is a dangerous place - all alone in the night.
