I like fanfictions. If you ever wanted to know who I read, or just find
some links to fanfics in general, this is the place to look.
In no particular order, just because I can:
Matthew
Lewis -- Probably one of the authors with the most influence on my personal
style, ever. His 'Soul of Ice' was the genesis of Nanashi's own 'Soul of Ice:
Deus Ex' story, which eventually prompted me to create ' Compass Points',
and his absolutely rivetting Ruroni Kenshin shortfic 'A Few Thoughts on a
Line' was, in its entirety, the foundation for my 'I am Become...' Read this
guy's fics. They rock too much for me to adequately put into words. Thank
you, Matt, for your inspiraton.
Reid
Carson -- This man wrote one of my all-time favorite fanfictions,
'Elegy for a Golden Youth'.
David
Farr -- He wrote 'Parting Words', which I thought was just great.
No, really!
Aaron E. Nowack
-- A good friend, and a great author. Check out 'Pheonix' and 'Shades of Gray'.
Eric Hallstrom -- Creator of 'Ranma and Akane: A
Love Story'. I hope to someday be able to write nearly as well.
Corwin
-- A good friend of mine, if one who has the sad belief that he's a poor author.
He's great, and refuses to write more of some of his wonderful stories. Maybe
someone can e-mail him and remind him how good he is, to get him to start
writing again. ;)
Ginrai
-- Another good friend of mine, and a very creative author, as well as a fellow
Ukyou-fanboy. He's come up with a few very clever fanfics already, and has
more on the way, I'm sure.
D.B. Sommer
-- Mr. Sommer's a very prodigious writer, and generally, one with a rapier
sharp wit that he will not hesitate to use. He's a big Shampoo fan, as you
probably could have guessed from 'Shampoo 1/2'.
Latin_D
-- A nice guy despite being a Motoko-fanboy, Latin no longer writes as much
fanfiction as he used to, instead working on the more ambitious project of
translating English
fanfiction to Spanish. That's pretty cool.
Slacker-- Another
good friend, #voider, and contributing member to the Reduced Ranma Fanfiction
website. Some day, Slacker and I will solve the riddle, and resolve which
of us is the Evil Twin.
Zen
-- Would a fanfiction links page be complete without this link? If you haven't
already, read the Bitter End. Not happy, not at all, but very good. And because
I stole the site design for this page from Zen's site anyway.
Joseph Palmer
-- Another very good fanfic author, if his tone is entirely different
from Zen's -- opposite side of the spectrum, honestly. I've met
him a few times, and he's one of the most pleasant people on earth
to talk to.
Nicholas Leifker -- There are a great many
astounding authors in and around on the net, and this is one of
him. His 'Iris' is both beautiful and touching, and was a very
moving piece for me.
Nanashi -- A very deep and thoughtful writer, who
writes in a style that is not for the faint at heart. His longer
works generally require serious thought to grasp entirely, but are
well worth it, if you manage to come to understand what they mean
entirely. I still haven't, yet, but I will someday...
