It's been a while. We just got the internet back a few days ago, and I'm surprised at how much I missed it.
It's like an old friend, or coming home.
Well, I'm back. There's not much to relate, except that things are going well.
Going back to the trip, though, the trip was stellar. Not Vegas, but quite enjoyable, got to enjoy the fresh air, the friendly family.... Got to enjoy my auntie Sharon's hospitality, and she is an awe-inspiring cook. She did a fabulous job of Thanksgiving dinner -- the best I'd had in a long time.
The meal topped Vegas entirely -- except maybe the trip to Alex's, which was kind of difficult to top. Too formal, though, so I can't complain.
Anyway, probably my favorite part of the trip was the day after Thanksgiving, which was more-or-less an 'idle' day. We just hung out at auntie Sharon and Uncle Kev's place, and watched a few movies, chatted, smoked, and drank. It was very relaxed, and I think my favorite part of it was when I realized that it was the busiest shopping day of the year (supposedly), and auntie Sharon hadn't even bothered to get out of her pajamas.
Very tranquil, very mellow. I loved it.
Mm. I feel surprisingly lucid. I hope this doesn't presage some sort of collapse or snap.
Ahm.... On Saturday, we're having an employee christmas party. I think they called it a christmas party, not a holiday party. I'm not sure. Anyway, it's at a bar, and neither myself nor Nadine are working, so she challenged me to get drunk. She also suggested that Tanya might be drinking, too. Hey, just the thing after a hard week -- getting drunk with coworkers. I think it'll be fun. :)
