I have fallen behind in my blogging. However, I think I'm making headway in terms of personal improvement anyway. So....
Today: Jim's Birthday! Also, Easter. Mmm, tasty rabbit.
Got to hang out with some friends, then went home to watch Stargate : Atlantis with Peter and David. We also have plans to work through a bottle of sake. I may have David's old job, too, which will be fantastic. I find out tomorrow.
Here's to hoping!
Tonight is D&D;, though I'm not really happy with our level 5-7 party being sent to the plane of Hell. Oh, sure, we were assigned an NPC by the GM who's local, but when you stop to think about it, that's hardly reassuring.
Anyway. Today I go to visit my mom to buy a card for my cousin whom I have not seen in four or so years. I'll actually be seeing her (and guest) on Saturday, when I gets me some birthday dinner.
Good times~!
Bad news:
For my birthday, Peter got my computer. WTF? I hardly ever get to use the damn thing anymore! And when I'm not using it, he's actively encouraging non-me people to use it!
I am still unemployed.
I don't remember to blog every day.
My diet now consists of rice and salt exclusively (I hate being poor).
Good news:
It is my birthday! I got a shiny new laptop to use! (Peter's justification for not needing to let me use my own machine, to be sure, but he gets a 'screw you' if he thinks he can use my new laptop!) I named it MobileOhki-Neo, or Mon, for short. "Ey, Mon, tings be all irey nah!"
I got a job offer! I couldn't make the commute to Fremont, and it paid well. But I know for a fact I got da Mad Leet Interviewing Skillz!
I have a nice fat tax return coming to me. :3
Things could always be worse! Positive thinking for a new year of life!
Missed some days....
Another painful night trying to sleep on the tiny couch of discomfort so that Peter can stay up until everyone else is awake and watch Naruto. I'll be really happy the day his sleep schedule happens to coincide with mine, and I can actually get some sleep. I think it's been almost a week since I had a full night of genuine rest.
As soon as I have the money, I'd leap at a chance to live anywhere else with enough privacy to sleep when I want to.
I hate feeling like crap all the time because I'm tired.
But Peter absolutely has to watch all 180 episodes of Naruto for a fifth time to show its holy canon to others.
(It's starting to make me dislike Naruto.)
I live! I get job offers!
I post-ban an immature self-centered young man who thinks he knows it ... all. He doesn't.
All things told ... so far today, life is good.
I have egg-salad sammich. :3
